Path to ACHE Fellow Status (1 Hour Qualified Credit)
Path to ACHE Fellow Status will provide an overview of the requirements to obtain your ACHE Fellow for early careerists. Two ACHEMT Fellows, Phil Wells and Anna Pannier, will provide a general overview and then answer specific questions. Hear from two active Fellow members of ACHEMT on how they approached the requirements and how their Fellow status has impacted their career.

Anna Pannier is a healthcare and technology leader who specializes in integration, innovation and adoption. Anna is the Vice President of Integration with Centauri Health Solutions. She also serves on the Board of the Middle Tennessee chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) where she is a Fellow. Anna serves on the International Innovation Council for Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and is a Certified Healthcare Chief Information Officer (CHCIO) with the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME).
Prior to joining Centauri, Anna has served as a healthcare leader with regional healthcare systems, including Ascension Health, Atrium Health and Northside Hospital. Anna received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History from the University of California at Davis, and a Masters in Business Administration from Indiana University Kelley School of Business. Anna completed the Harvard Business School online program. Anna publishes articles and book chapters in her field, as well as speaks at national and regional conferences. She is currently developing a Physician Leadership Academy program in partnership with healthcare leaders across Tennessee.
Phil M. Wells is an accomplished executive with 50+ years in healthcare administration, planning, consulting and education. He has been affiliated with ACHE since 1972 and has been a Board Certified Fellow since 1986. He has successfully served in a variety of senior executive positions in the Midwestern and Southeastern United States. He has provided business development expansion, fiscal and quality improvement leadership, including three financial turnarounds. Phil holds a Master’s degree in Hospital and Health Services Administration from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Miami University (Ohio).
Phil previously led the teams which developed integrated patient care facilities, including the Milwaukee Heart Institute, Roger Maris Comprehensive Cancer Center, orthopedic/physical medicine centers, and joint ventured ambulatory surgery, mobile MRI imaging, home health agencies, and durable medical equipment/orthotic/prosthetic companies. In addition, Phil has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses in health care management, strategic planning, financial management and facility planning. He has previously served on the ACHEMT Board, Communication, Audit, and Career Advancement Committees.

As an independent chartered chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives, ACHE of Middle Tennessee is authorized to award 1 hour of ACHE Qualified Education credit toward advancement or recertification in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Participants in this program who wish to have it considered for ACHE Qualified Education credit should list their attendance when they apply to the American College of Healthcare Executives for advancement or recertification.
