Intersection of Safety, Quality and Operations

In the quest to improve healthcare, increasing attention is being paid to gaining control over quality by making care safe, effective, timely and centered on patient needs. The complexity of healthcare delivery can benefit from the care team having access to real-time insights into patient safety threats/risks to prevent adverse events before they occur.

This event is in response to the recent release of "Leading a Culture of Safety: A Blueprint for Success", developed by The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) in partnership with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement/National Patient Safety Foundation Lucian Leape Institute (IHI/NPSF LLI).  The intent of this guide is to help healthcare leaders lead for safety through creating and sustaining a culture of safety.  http://safety.ache.org/
